The Philippine Physical Therapy Association, Inc. (PPTA) is a local professional organization of Filipino physical therapists recognized by the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission. PPTA is a member organization of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy and the Asian Confederation of Physical Therapy.


PPTA CEBU CONGRESS 2012
18 February 2012 (Saturday)

The association organizes the PPTA Cebu Congress 2012 in cooperation with Cebu Doctors’ University,SouthwesternUniversity, and Velez College of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. The congress is featured prominently as a joint activity of these four esteemed institutions to observe of Physical Therapy-Occupational Therapy Week inCebu.

 The congress is preceded by a seminar for physical therapy educators and meetings convened by PPTA and the Association of Philippine Physical Therapy Students (APPTS).

 Physical therapy professionals and students from Cebuand the Visayas region are invited to attend this landmark gathering. Congress program is found at this link. 

Call for Research Papers

PPTA shall invite researchers to a presentation opportunity within the PPTA Cebu Congress.

Completed undergraduate projects, faculty-led research, and independent research are welcome.

Interested physical therapy students and practitioners are requested to submit their project abstract by 31 January 2012to Mr. Edward James Gorgon, Research Forum chair (ejrgorgon@post.upm.edu.ph)

Send help to Filipinos in typhoon-ravaged areas

PPTA encourages colleagues to send help to the survivors of Typhoon Sendong (Tropical Storm Washi). Donations may be made through the Philippine National Red Cross (click here). Other institutions accepting donations in cash or in kind may be found here.

PPTA amends constitution

The association’s Constitution and By-laws were amended during the General Assembly last 04 December 2011. Copies of this shall be made available soon.
