Nap Caballero is PRC’s Outstanding Professional in Physical Therapy

Your PPTA Family is proud of you!

Mr. Napoleon R. Caballero, Lifetime Member and former PPTA President (2008-2010), will receive the 2019 Most Outstanding Professional of the Year Award in the field of Physical Therapy from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The PRC is the government agency mandated to administer licensure examinations to aspiring Filipino professionals. It regulates professional practice in partnership with Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs) that govern professions in the fields of health, business, education, social sciences, engineering and technology. Together with the PRBs and the accredited professional organizations, PRC recognizes the most accomplished Filipino professionals and professional societies annually.

A servant leader who spearheads various efforts to promote the profession in the country, Mr. Caballero is awarded for his exemplar service in the profession as an advocate for the development of programs and activities for Persons with Disability; his able representation of the Physical Therapy profession in country-wide campaigns in collaboration with the National Council for Disability Affairs for the celebration of the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week and the Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection Week (2004-2006); and his commitment and professionalism as he served his profession as an official elected to various leadership positions in the PPTA (2002 to present).

He is presently Assistant Professor of the College of Arts, Science, and Technology, Metropolitan Medical Center (MMC CAST), holding administrative positions as Dean of the College of Physical Therapy and Academic Coordinator under the office of the MMC CAST Executive Vice President. As Mr. Caballero continues to educate and shape future physical therapists through his academic work, he extends his advocacy for Persons with Disability and Physical Therapy by working tirelessly as pioneer and current head of the PPTA’s Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Special Interest Group.

Mr. Caballero is an alumnus of Emilio Aguinaldo Colleges (BSPT 1997 & MPA 2006). A dedicated physical therapist, devoted husband, and doting father, he is also a respected pastor of the Jabez Community of Faith Christian Ministry.

The awarding ceremonies will be held at the Manila Hotel on Thursday, 20 June 2019. The PPTA warmly congratulates Mr. Caballero on this well-deserved recognition.
