Local Chapters

PPTA aims to establish chapters in different parts of the country. It hopes to empower its members by involving them in local initiatives that would benefit their communities and themselves.

Chapters enable the members of PPTA to enjoy the benefits of the Association at a much closer range and make the mother organization stronger. A minimum of 20 PPTA Lifetime Members is needed for a chapter to be established, and only one is allowed to be formed in a province.

PPTA has an active chapter in Pampanga, and has plans to establish more in key cities of the country. It is currently working with Davao-based members for chapter formation in their province.

Active chapters are expected to:

  • send at least one (1) representative to the PPTA Annual convention/general assembly held every National PT Day, who shall receive free registration
  • hold an event commemorating National PT Day (September 8) in their locale
  • hold a major activity every 6 months, with provisions for the attendance of one (1) board member or officer of the PPTA
  • hold at least one (1) General Assembly of members annually, with provisions for the attendance of four (4) board members or officers of the PPTA (namely the vice-president, treasurer, head of membership, and head of continuing education)

Members who would like to form their chapters are requested to coordinate with the Vice President for External Affairs, whose office oversees chapter formation and monitoring. Send communications to vpexternal@philpta.org.
